I was due to have a total right knee replacement on 22/4/13
But
Most will have read that its not happened because of other problems that landed me in hospital for a couple of very unplanned weeks!

So I rang up yesterday and their ops are now end of June/ July

Hmmm
Our older son is 18 mid June
We have booked 2 weeks camping in France (vendee with a company called spring harvest) and I want to be able to drive about
Enjoy the ferry trip etc
It's the last couple of wks in August and my legs healing might not be ready

So instead were going for September
Pre-op the week before we go on Hols

That way should be alright for the run up to Christmas

My knee is Ma-hoo-sive!
So maybe see if a stab of steroids might help in short term? Not sure or tbh very keen on rushing back to the general for ANYTHING!

That sounds like a really good plan. I'd wait til september too if it was me... nice steroid jab well worth having!

It'll give us time to meet up for another cup of tea!!!
